The Great Bear Rainforest is at its most alive from June to October, when salmon runs draw grizzlies, spirit bears, and eagles to the rivers and humpbacks fill the fjords. Summer brings long days ideal for kayaking, heli-hiking, and yacht exploration, while early autumn heightens both wildlife activity and the dramatic beauty of the coast. Each expedition is designed around your interests, ensuring the best timing for your experience.
Packing depends on the season and your chosen activities. Lightweight, layered clothing is best for changeable coastal weather, along with a waterproof jacket and sturdy walking shoes for forest and shoreline excursions. Bring a swimsuit for the floating sauna or lodge hot tubs, and don’t forget binoculars or a quality camera for wildlife viewing. All technical gear for kayaking, heli-hiking, or yacht excursions is provided.

International travelers to British Columbia require either an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) or a visa, depending on nationality, along with a valid passport.
